What is Podcamp NYC?
PodCamp has been held twice in New York City- the first at the New Yorker Hotel, and last year at Polytechnic University in Brooklyn. Registration for the conference have in the past topped 1,000 attendees, actual attendance has been between 500 and 700 people over the course of the two day events.

What is Podcamp?
PodCamp is a community driven new and emerging media conference. The first PodCamp was held in Boston on September 5 & 6, 2006. Since that time, the idea has spread quickly, with over 56 Podcamps having been hosted to date, in locations all over the US and the world, including Singapore, Germany, Australia, South Africa and Brazil. Podcamp has evolved to include emerging technologies, marketing and social media topics as well as the original podcasting, blogging and video-podcasting focus.

PodCamp isn’t just about podcasting! If you’re interested in blogging, social media, social networking, podcasting, video on the net, if you’re a podsafe musician (or want to be), or just someone curious about new media, then please join us — and bring a friend or colleague.

To get an idea of what happens at a Podcamp and what the sessions are about, you can look at the sessions from last year’s event. Here is Friday’s schedule and Saturday’s schedule. You can find more at the PodCamp website at podcamp.org to see links to all of the other PodCamp events that have already taken place.
